In a remarkably short period time, she has become one of the top realist portrait artists in Southern California. Her brushstrokes on canvas reveal tight rendering of realism and also lose touch of impressionism. Her goal for every painting she creates is to make the subject come to life.

It’s a tender yet honest look at the reality that our American horses are born into, the love, joy and respect they give us, and in contrast, the disposable mindset of those who profit from this sordid industry.
Hye Joung Tibby has strong love for animals especially horses. She recently painted portrait of ‘Go Between’ who is the winner of 2008 Pacific Classic. It was commissioned by Del Mar Thoroughbred Club.
