Year End Call for Action in Support of Horses & Burros

Saving America's Horses… A Nation Betrayed

Dear WFLF Member,
Our American horses and burros are under siege across the country. Wild equines are being rounded up by the thousands from their rightful native lands and shipped to destinations unknown. Domestic equines such as race horses, ponies, show horses, pet horses, quarter horses and more are disappearing is vast numbers. Where are our horses going?

Countless American horses and burros are stuck in freezing weather clutched inside holding pens and crammed together on double decker cattle trailers. They may stand this way for days, without rest, food or drink as they are transported across national borders to Canada and Mexico where they face barbaric slaughter.

Once loved family companions, yesterday’s champion race horse and the last of America’s wild horses and burros face unspeakable treatment from what's claimed to be a necessary evil, under the guise of humane euthanasia .

Protective laws are being ignored and the American people are being betrayed. It’s a country divided; the people verses special interests.

WFLF has been working behind the scenes and on the ground, entrenched in research, investigation and documenting this issue all through the year. We are the only animal protection organization that is working relentlessly through the holidays in effort to stop both the slaughter and the cruel round-up of our American horses and burros. Won’t you please help us with a year-end tax-deductible donation today?

The USDA, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Interior and other institutions support this grizzly fate and under the direction of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), our wild horses and burros are being managed to extinction. Their families ripped apart, their health and well being disregarded and their freedom lost forever. Never before has there been a need so strong to ban together for these majestic sentient beings. Please help us to protect all equines from slaughter.

We have organized a national coalition of equine experts, plus domestic and wild horse rescue and protection organizations to collaborate forces and in so doing WFLF Humanion Films is producing the most comprehensive feature documentary film about this issue ever made.
With YOUR HELP, we will bring this film to completion in 2010.

This film would not be possible without your continuing support. We are the voice for the horses and they need to be heard. Please take this final opportunity to make a 2009 tax-deductible DONATION.

We promise that every penny you send will be used directly to SAVE AMERICA’S HORSES!

Thank you, and Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.

For the horses and burros~
