CHDC’s Sinikka Crosland has joined WFLF Humanion Films production of Saving America's Horses - A Nation Betrayed as an Advisory Board Member!

Animals have been a life-long passion for Sinikka Crosland, Executive Director for the Canadian Horse Defence Coalition and President and Co-founder of B.C.-based TRACS (The Responsible Animal Care Society). At age five, when a wounded deer bolted by the window of her country home, she announced to her family that it was wrong to hurt other living beings. She proceeded to bring home stray cats, injured birds, and other animals in need of help. These pursuits then set the stage for the work she does today in the field of animal and environmental protection. A registered nurse, she eventually left that career in order to strive for the advancement of animal welfare. Sinikka lives in Westbank, B.C., with her husband Jim and a menagerie of non-human family members. She has two grown children, Kyle and Carmen.
