WFLF Humanion Films is pleased to announce that husband and wife jockeys Diamond Jim Brooks and Laura J Hearn have joined the supporting cast in Saving America's Horses, A Nation Betrayed.

2006 Texas Jockey of the year, Diamond Jim has been a jockey for over 37 years, riding in over 300 races per year. Brooks won 834 races, ranking 19th in Southern California before returning to Texas in 1998. Diamond Jim’s biggest money win was $925,000 in the Texas Classic Futurity at in 2001. Brooks is also an active equine advocate and he says, “I’m hoping to help stomp out the brutal practice of horse slaughter before I’m through with racing.”

Laura J Hearn’s career as a jockey started out training and racing horses. This Arabian Jockey of the Year, 1977, raced and trained Fagai, the International Arabian Horse Association Horse of the Year and Filly of the Year. Laura then rode and trained Bask-O-Zel, the 1980 National Champion Racehorse. Laura is a Certified Horse Master and Senior Instructor in Stable Management and Equitation. She states that horses have been her deepest passion all her life and her goal is to one day see Drug Free Racing in America. She is an avid advocate and active campaigner in the fight to end the inhumane practice of horse slaughter. Laura says, “I will fight or die trying to save horses from such a cruel end. These horses are responsible for my every happiness in life.”

Katia Louise of Humanion Films has just released a special edition Preview Trailer for SAVING AMERICA’S HORSES A NATION BETRAYED. The Preview Trailer presents the inspirational tone of the film while also serving to raise awareness for the CAUSE. SAVING AMERICA’S HORSES A NATION BETRAYED depicts a country divided and inspires great hope for the protection of all horses and burros. It’s a tender yet honest look at the reality that our American horses are born into, the love, joy and respect they give us and the disposable mindset of modern day society.

The Official Film Trailer will be released later in November.

Humanitarians, animal lovers and horse enthusiasts are requested to tell their friends and family about SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES A NATION BETRAYED.
