Dec 10, 2012, Los Angeles, Legendary pop artist Peter Max creates a brand new painting to benefit Wild for Life Foundation's "SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES. The painting valued at $16,000 was auctioned off at the Kick-off Reception for the film's NYC Release and Premiere on Dec 6th. Funds raised will go directly to Wild for Life Foundation for the purpose of helping to bring the film to a wider release.

The NYC Kick off Reception for the film was well attended and celebrated by many including some of the east coasts most prominent equine welfare groups such as the  ASPCA, Equine Advocates, NYCLASS and more. "We are so pleased for the wide showing of support," said Katia Louise, WFLF. "We are looking forward to the prospect of collaborating further with these groups and others as we work to get this important message out to the masses."

Wild for Life Foundation is pleased to congratulate the lucky new owner of Peter's artwork; Valerie Angeli of the ASPCA! Valerie is also an avid supporter of "SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES".

Fifteen-year-old gelding Bobby II Freedom, a New York carriage horse was days from death in PA, before Equine Advocates brought him to sanctuary. Peter Max volunteered to paint a portrait of the horse and Peter's portrait of “Bobby II Freedom” is featured in the film "Saving America’s Horses: A Nation Betrayed". When news came that the film was scheduled to open in NYC, Peter and Mary Max graciously offered their art studio to host the reception in celebration of the event. In effort to raise more support, Peter generously created a brand new portrait of Bobby II Freedom to auction off at the reception for the film.

The Wild for Life Foundation is a 501 c3 grassroots all volunteer charity dedicated to saving, protecting and preserving equines through education, rescue and sanctuary. "Saving America's Horses - A Nation Betrayed" is an educational documentary project under Wild for Life Foundation. The mission is to break the cycle of animal cruelty for America’s horses by providing a life changing resource that cultivates action and inspires social change.
