Legendary pop artist Peter Max is donating the image of Bobby II Freedom for use in the film. Fifteen-year-old gelding Bobby II Freedom, a New York carriage horse was days from death in PA, before Equine Advocates brought him to sanctuary. Peter Max volunteered to paint a portrait of the horse which is being auctioned off this week, but the image of Peter’s portrait “Bobby II Freedom” will forever be immortalized through the film Saving America’s Horses A Nation Betrayed. Peter is one of the most famous living artists. His bold colors, uplifting images and uncommon artistic diversity have touched almost every phase of American culture and have inspired many generations.“I am so thankful that my art could be used in saving even one horse from any kind of cruelty. Saving America's Horses - A Nation Betrayed is set to Premiere at the 2011 Los Angeles Women’s International Film Festival on Sunday, March 27 at The Laemmle's Sunset 5.
