"Saving America's Horses” will screen on Saturday, July 9th at 1:15PM as part of the 8th annual Artivist Film Festival program. The film’s screen will take place at the historic Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, California.

Michael Blake, Academy Award winning screenwriter for “Dances With Wolves” is scheduled to make a special appearance at the screening. Advanced ticketing for the event will begin on June 10th through the festival website and seats are expected to go quickly.

Experience the magnificence, power and free spirit of one of America’s most treasured icons, the horse; and learn about the misleading propaganda that portrays them as unwanted. It’s a hard hitting expose about today's horses and the need to protect and preserve them. The film explores our relationship to these animals through a compelling compilation of true life stories, undercover footage and expert testimony. A myriad of viable solutions are provided leaving viewers inspired with hope, empowered with knowledge and armed with relevant ways to take action.

The 93-minute documentary film features Paul Sorvino, Michael Blake, Tippi Hedren, Linda Gray, Ken Wahl, Willie Nelson, Amy & Raelyn Nelson, The Barbi Twins, Jennifer Lee Pryor & many more. It’s about a journey of courage, honor and betrayal in a country divided; inspiring great hope for compassion and protection of all horses and burros.

Saving America’s Horses recently won the prestigious Best of Festival Award at the Los Angeles Women’s International Film Festival and the much celebrated Award of Merit in the Accolade Competition and also received four special Awards for Cinematography, Advocacy, Editing & Conservation Message from the International Wildlife Film Festival in May.
