The Wild For Life Foundation and Saving America's Horses today announced the release of two new powerful tools for the protection of equines from cruelty in the U.S. "  8 Quick Need-to-Know Facts to Help Protect Horses and Burros from Slaughter" and "10 Need-to-Know Facts that can Raise Needed Protection for Wild Horses and Burros", both reports provide dynamic talking points that directly counter the onslaught of misinformation triggered by the Department of Interior's misguided proposal to kill America's wild horses and burros and enable the sale of these historic treasured animals by the BLM for slaughter," says Katia Louise, Founder and President Wild for Life Foundation.

Our opponents have waged an insidious, well-funded disinformation campaign to support the extermination of America's treasured wild horses and burros. Even the House was duped. brings home horses and burros are in fact native species to North America and who evolved on this continent."  The mislabeling and eradication of wild horses and burros on America’s public rangelands is a clear demonstration of ‘special interests’ and ‘government agency’ support for the competing economic value of commercial livestock and reveals certain agency defiance of their mandate to protect wild horses and burros, a native wild species known to have no economic value," added Katia Louise, WFLF founder and President. "The fact sheets bring home that horse slaughter is a cruel, inhumane practice that leaves communities devastated with toxic environmental contamination, and economic losses."

Katia is also the Director, Producer of the award winning film, SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES,
an intelligent and hard hitting expose` that reveals how government agencies and special interests run over the laws that are supposed to protect the horses, the people and the environment.

The documented evidence of cruelty, egregious violations of the law and a lack of enforcement by the USDA led to the closure of horse slaughter houses in 2007, but in the absence of federal ban on horse slaughter, U.S. horses continue to be shipped across the borders where they are inhumanely slaughtered to this very day. Now,  the BLM is pushing for the government's permission to sell  America's treasured wild horses and burros for slaughter. “

The vast challenges facing America’s wild and domestic equines and their natural habitats are immense. However, armed with compassion and the true facts, and through joining together to make a compelling and united voice heard for the horses and burros, we can educate and effect positive change.
