Dec 16, 2012, Los Angeles, Americans Against Horse Slaughter joins The Wild for Life Foundation in announcing the release of a brand new video from SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES: A NATION BETRAYED. "Beautiful and awe inspiring," says Debra Lopez, AATV. "A beautiful and powerful way to share information, educate and raise awareness," says Mario James, Humanion Films.

The new clip is suited for all audiences and it features "Good Will Ambassador, Bing Bush Jr.", cast members, Susan Wagner, Beverly Strauss, the Disney Kids and more. Plus it includes brand new footage and just released scenes from the movie.

SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES NYC TEAM MEMBERS

SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES moves NYC and LA audiences, touching hearts and inspiring change. The film initially opened in theaters with a full theatrical rollout in December, at the Quad Cinema in New York City and a full weeks' qualifying run at Leammle's Playhouse 7 in Los Angeles.

Sponsorship opportunities are now available for a wider release in 2013, to include theater showings in major markets, event showings and town hall presentations. Following a traditional distribution plan to reach as wide an audience as possible, the film will then move into distribution through television/ cable and DVD. We are excited to announce that we are wrapping up the filming and finishing up the last few interviews for SAVING AMERICA’S HORSES A NATION BETRAYED. The feature length documentary film is coming along very nice. We are about ¾ of the way through editing what we have filmed to date.

The horse slaughter issue is heating up and the proponents have been very aggressive in their misleading promotion of this insidious cruelty. The general public must be exposed to learn the truth and never before has there been a need so strong for people to come together for total ban of horse slaughter in the US.

We have been working around the clock in the trenches and on the front lines as we investigate and document this issue. WFLF Humanion Films’ Advisory Board, Honorary Board and Cast for SAVING AMERICA’S HORSES A NATION BETRAYED is comprised of the Nation’s top anti slaughter equine experts and specialists. This film project is a very special collaborative effort which will bring this controversial matter to the public eye.

WFLF recently launched a new website for it's ongoing equine rescue support efforts. Lifetime Equine Rescue (LERR) is a volunteer-based, nonprofit equine rescue and rehabilitation organization located in Southern California. We actively rescue horses that have been "salvaged" (aka discarded & abused) for profit in the slaughter industry. LERR' mission is to save lives, and protect equines from slaughter. We have a small number of Thoroughbreds that need a little more time in order to find qualified adopters or long term foster homes.
